Microsoft Adds Windows Home Server To Security Bulletin

Microsoft has added Windows Home Server to its list of products vulnerable to a critical bug announced nearly three weeks ago.

That list also includes Windows Small Business Server, not included in Microsoft’s original MS08-001 security bulletin either.

The vulnerability, which enables an attacker to take complete control of an affected system, can be exploited by sending malicious data packets to unsuspecting users, many of whom run small businesses or work out of their homes.

A patch has been issued via the software's update mechanism.
