Verizon Wireless announced that the BlackBerry Curve 8330 smartphone, already available from other carriers such as AT&T and T-Mobile, will be offered to Verizon Wireless customers starting in May.

The Curve is Research In Motion's smallest smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. The Verizon version will have a "liquid silver-colored finish with chrome highlights, smooth edges and soft curves," according to Verizon, and will use Verizon's high-speed EV-DO network.

Verizon also announced the impending availability of two other smartphones: the Verizon VX6900, a Windows Mobile-based unit with the same specs as Sprint's HTC Touch; and the Motorola Q 9c, which features the VZ Navigator service. Rounding out Verizon's new mobile lineup are a redesigned LG enV2 and the Samsung Alias.
