Redwood City, Calif.-based SaaSWizard has upgraded its same-named tool that simplifies database application development by eliminating the need to write code.

Built on J2EE, SaaSWizard version 2.1 works on Linux and Windows servers, and lets developers use their browsers to build database apps -- either from templates or scratch -- with MySQL or Microsoft SQL server. Applications can then be served up as a service or installed on-premises.

According to one VAR, SaaSWizard has cut down application development to one-quarter of the time it would take him with other tools.

SaaSWizard also offers a Linux-based server that comes with SaaSWizard preinstalled and preconfigured for customers' networks.
