SugarCRM Enhances Mobile Capabilities

A new version of SugarCRM's SMB-oriented, Web-based customer relationship management software, with improved support for mobile browsers, is now available for beta testing.

According to Chris Harrick, vice president of product marketing at SugarCRM, the new version 5.1 will enable users of mobile devices with standard HTML browsers to see the same number of modules, or information sets, as PC users can. (The current version only lets mobile users see five to eight modules, while the new version supports more than 20.) Supported devices include Apple's iPhone and Research In Motion's BlackBerry.

SugarCRM is available as a hosted solution as well as in a version that can be installed on a customer's own server, but there is no special client software needed.
