Google Offers New Tools to Advertisers
Thursday, August 7, 2008
By bMighty.com Staff
Google introduced new features to make it easier for advertisers to control how often an ad is displayed and measure its effectiveness.
With the new tools, advertisers now can prevent an ad from being shown too frequently to each user, track how many people have seen a campaign, and measure the average number of times people have seen an ad.
Advertisers can also get statistics on "view through" conversions, or whether someone who's seen an ad visits the advertiser's Web site. Up to now, the only information available was on "click through" conversions, or the number of people who actually clicked on an ad; the new statistic gives additional information on the effectiveness of an ad.
