Communications and connectivity are critical components for many small and midsize businesses, so on Thursday May 22 bMighty is gathering top vendors and analysts to share their insight, understanding, and best practices in an interactive online event available right from your desktop.

bMighty bConnected is our second virtual expo, following the highly successful bMighty bMobile that debuted last December. Once again, I’ll be hosting the event, introducing the speakers and moderating the live question and answer sessions. It starts at 11am Eastern Time (8am Pacific Time) and runs till 5pm that afternoon (2pm Pacific Time).

The free event kicks off promptly at 11am ET (8am PT) with our keynote presentation on VoIP for Small and Midsize Companies. John Macario -- founder of Savatar and a VoIP/convergence expert -- will share research identifying common VoIP issues for smaller companies. Then 25-year telecom-industry vet Tim Saunders, AdTran’s Vice President, Product Management in the Enterprise Networks Division, will explain what smaller companies need to know about maximizing VoIP’s potential and avoid those common pitfalls.

Next, at 12:30pm ET (9:30am PT), Unified Communications takes center stage when I share exclusive new bMighty research on how smaller companies view and use UC, and Cisco VP of SMB Solutions Markets Rick Moran demonstrates how UC really is ready meet the needs of smaller companies.

Then, at 1:30pm ET (10:30am PT), Robin MacGillvray, Senior Vice President of AT&T’s Small Business Client Group, highlights new research on the innovative ways that small businesses are using connectivity technology – and lays out the four most important things to think about when building a connectivity strategy. And MacGillvray shares insight from real small businesses about what they’re doing, what products they’re using, and what business benefits they’ve gained from maximizing their time away from the office.

Finally, at 2:30pm ET (11:30am PT), Steve Hilton, Enterprise and SMB Research Vice President at Yankee Group, explains how to use connectivity technology to Unleash the Hidden Power of Your SMB. Find out what technologies truly boost productivity for small and midsize companies, and discover the secret of where – and with whom – to uncover the biggest opportunities to make your business more efficient and more productive.

Every session concludes with a live Q&A discussion where you can get answers to your questions about the business that matters most to you.
